We were in Camp Fire Girls together. I still have the picture of us sitting on a bale of hay.

Margaret  had short, brown hair curled softly around her face.   Always smiling and happy to be around..she was fun.   In the summer evenings, we would meet on her street and go for walks around our neigborhood  (close to Red Apple Road).

As I recall her family moved to Wenatchee from Canada.   She was Joanne Janni's cousin.

You are missed!

I did not know Margaret had died, I remember her at the last reunion we went to, she had told me her son had died.I feel so bad about this and think she is in such a better place. I do not know how she passed on but she will be sorely missed, I am sure Butch sure wishes her back, but sorry to say that is the way we were meant to go. When God calls us home.I remember her with a big smile. Until we meet again Margaret. Love, Jackie Kennedy McIntyre

Margaret lived across the street from us on Kittitas, and just a few houses from her cousin Joanne Janni.   Her birthday (Dec. 6) was a day before mine, but she was a year younger.   Used to kid her about her Canadian accent.   Had a good time chatting with her at our 40th WHS reunion.   She is missed!

I have so many memories about our precious Margaret that I have put off posting anything...I still have trouble facing the fact that she has left us physically (She is still in my thoughts and prayers daily).  I'm taking a writing class where we all write personal histories and memorable stories....as you might imagine, most of the really great ones center around Margaret!!  Yes, she was my first cousin and dear friend after moving here from Nelson, B.C. in the 5th grade.  We became inseparable and if we were not together in person, we drove our parents nuts while we talked on the phone incessantly! We all teased her mercilessly because she couldn't say her RRRR's.... hence, she was always referred to as MAW-GWIT WAY WEE-STIR-WERE!!! All of the kids in our neighborhood always walked to and from school together on the same route...of course, that all changed when Mick moved in down the street our sophomore year..Margaret made us change our entire plan so we could pass by his house and hopefully catch a glimpse of the gorgeous, new "HUNK"...Like most guys that age, Mick was more interested in playing baseball!! :(   Much to our disappointment, he didn't know we were alive!!  Margaret lost interest in him the minute she met Butch and the rest is history!!  Butch truly was the love of her life and how blessed they were to marry and have a wonderful family...The night before she died I phoned her and Butch answered ...After speaking for a minute, Butch said, "Would you like to speak to my beautiful bride?"....I choked back the tears after hearing the question and that evening was the last time I talked to her.  His comment said it all.....life doesn't get any better than that precious tribute.
